Synopsis

The first kiss wrecked their friendship. Could a second chance lead to love?

English teacher Bella isn’t having much luck with her love life. No matter who she dates, no one seems to measure up to Mike: the ex-bestie she shared a drunken kiss with ten years ago, which led to the end of their friendship…

When Bella comes face-to-face with Mike at their university reunion, sparks fly. He’s smart, funny and even hotter than before, and despite trying to fight her feelings, Bella still can’t get him out of her head.

But after what happened the last time she stepped out of the friend zone, Bella isn’t in a hurry to be rejected all over again.

Should Bella risk more heartache by telling Mike how she really feels? Could the attraction be mutual? Or is it finally time to put her past behind her and say goodbye to a second chance at love, forever?

My Review

“Now he was my best friend, my cheerleader and my lifetime love”

So when I finished Olivia’s latest book, I just had to go back and read one of her backlist and I chose ‘My Ten-Year Crush’

Bella kissed her best friend Mike ten years ago but it didn’t go to plan, she meets him again at their ten year school reunion. Can a second chance be what they need?

I loved this story! I was invested in Bella’s journey from the very beginning. She’s definitely a character who knows what she wants. I enjoyed the school reunion element as we don’t really do those in the UK so I was living vicariously through Bella. Mike sounds like a swoon worthy man who Bella just clicks with.

I flew through ‘My Ten-Year Crush’ in just a few days and it spurred me on to carry on reading this series asap! I absolutely loved a good second chance romance story and this was no different! It’s one of my favourite tropes.

‘My Ten-Year Crush’ is a story full of friendships, second chances, and love to boot 🥰💖
